How the MOVE FX Training Series Work:

IDENTIFY YOUR AREAS OF FOCUS

Train with greater purpose to elevate your game.  In Level 2 (EXPAND) work through the following modules: Efficiency, Speed and Advanced Strength

LEARN CUTTING EDGE TECHNIQUES

This series goes beyond just basic training knowledge. The content is detail focused while also focused on teaching you the WHY behind the WHAT.

INTEGRATE INTO YOUR TRAINING

The most important thing is you perform these various techniques consistently.  Look to incorporate them into your daily training based on your individual needs.

Let's take a look inside the
MOVE FX GOLF TRAINING: LEVEL 2 (EXPAND)

SECTION 1: 3D EFFICIENCY

Module 1: Swing Preposition with 3D Steps

  • Here we preposition the golf swing with the upper body and train the the efficiency of movement from the ground up using quick steps
  • The goal is to create greater connection throughout the body specific to the golf swing

Module 2: 3D Jump and Swings

  • Emphasis is on adding a power component through the lower body to challenge the body beyond the demands of a typical golf swing
  • Additional focus is placed on the timing of these movements to ensure proper sequencing

Module 3: 3D Recoil Pulses

  • Working to train the elastic component of the tissues by emphasizing the recoil pulses in golf specific positions
  • The goal is to create greater efficiency while also continuing to reinforce control and greater ranges of motion

SECTION 2: 3D SPEED

Module 1: Base Speed Swings

  • Looking to enhance both speed development along with speed control to allow for greater club head speed
  • This type of training requires a strong movement foundation developed in previous sections

Module 2: 3D Med Ball Throws

  • Adding a release of the medicine ball offers a different way to train speed and deceleration
  • The goal is to create more effective energy transfer throughout the body with these throws

Module 3: 3D Step to Load

  • Progressing to different movement combinations where both the lower body and upper body are working together
  • These specific sequences are once again focused on speed but do so in more complex movements

SECTION 3: 3D STRENGTH (2)

Module 1: 3D Single Leg Series

  • Emphasizing force production on a single leg to challenge the lower body in a more demanding manner
  • The goal is to improve your foundation of your swing through training greater capacity in the lower body

Module 2:

  • Here we want to emphasize loading the upper body in a variety of ways using elastic resistance.  So much of our ground stroke power depends on our upper body's ability to develop force and transfer it into the racket
  • The goal here is to influence body position along with movement to load the core in all 3 planes of motion

Module 3:

  • This is where we want to challenge the entire body to work as a functional, integrated unit.  This exactly how it works during when playing tennis
  • The goal here is to sequence movement to better prepare the body for the specific demands of moving across the court and striking the ball

SECTION 4: INTEGRITY (INJURY PREVENTION)

Module 1: Foot/Knee Complex

  • Our foot is our true foundation for movement and has a significant influence on the entire body. Here we want to create a more robust foot complex while also addressing its influence on the knee complex.
  • Both the foot and knee are common areas of injury for tennis players.  As a result we want to prioritize these regions

Module 2: Hip Complex

  • The ability of our hip complex to create and decelerate forces in 3 planes of motion plays a critical role in our performance and longevity
  • We need to prepare this region of the body for the high stress that the game of tennis places on it

Module 3: Trunk/Shoulder Complex

  • Due to the repetitive nature of tennis, we need to ensure that the trunk and shoulder regions have adequately integrity to handle the high speeds of swinging the racket.
  • This is a common area tennis players experience injury, all players will benefit by spending more time to develop greater capacity in these areas.
